'Bout Them Girls

Son, I’ve been around the block, let me tell you ‘bout them girls

There’s a whole lot more to them, than mascara and curls

They come in all shapes and sizes, all attitudes and types

But if you can learn to recognize em’, findin’ won’t take as many swipes

So come in, let me tell ya, so you too can see clear

The knowledge that I’ll give ya, will help you navigate and steer

Cuz careful son, please trust me, there’s danger out ya see

I’ll tell you what to watch for, them girls be ris-ky

Hot

First you’ve got your hot ones, they’re easy to find and spot

You’ll know them by the trail of boys, they’ll tend to have a flock

At first you’ll likely join, the attraction will be real

You’ll be pulled along like a fish, she’ll have you on a reel

But if you can, spit the hook, looks aren’t all they’re cracked up to be

Often when they are that hot, SHE is all that she can see

No matter what you do for her, she really doesn’t care

All that matters in her mind, is how many she can get to stare

Tom

And then you’ve got your tom boys, man they’re a lot of fun

They’ll be just like your guy friends, may even beat ya in a run

When you’re looking for a good time, Tom boys often are the pick

You may not see the match at first, but often they do click

One caution with the Tom boys, life’s not all just fun and games

And while you’re sure to have a good time, you don’t want to be the same

They’ll mostly want to beat you, or show you that they can

And when you say you want a girl, well, they might not understand

Flirties

And then you have your flirties, boy they’ll take you for a ride

And when you feel you’ve found one, I recommend you hide

Man, you’ll think they really like you, get your heart all wrapped up you see

And when she treats you like the one, you’ll find your one of thirty-three

Flirties, they are fun ones, they’re sure good for a laugh

But if you let your heart go, it’ll likely rip in half

It’s best to keep them just friends, cuz that’s all they want you see

They go from boy to boy, just like a honeybee

Strong

I’m sure you’ve met those strong girls, the one’s who don’t need a man

Miss independent, they’re not afraid to take a stand

You’ll find it kind of pleasant, to hear a girl that speaks her mind

A more stimulating conversation, you’ll find it hard to find

But you see these strong girls, have a problem, and its you

Why would they keep a guy around? They simply have no clue

They know what they want in life, and how to get it too

So chasing them will do no good, because that thing, it isn’t you

Shy

And then you’ve got your shy girls, the ones you wonder if they speak

You pry, and pry, and pry, and pry, and if you’re lucky, they’ll say squeak

Often they are interested, but it’s hard to tell you see

And if you choose to chase them, it seems they want to be let be

The shy girls, they are nice though, not pretentious, not at all

And if you get to know them, you’re likely to then fall

Don’t get too discouraged, they do want your company

It’ll just take some persevering, and patience now you see

And then you’ve got your bad girls, when you see them please do run

You’ll certainly be tempted, cuz at first they will seem fun

It’s actually quite hard though, to tell who they are

At first they will seem normal, and then they’ll go to far

You see it’s not that they’re bad, I just wouldn’t recommend it son

You can get caught up in the bad ones, and eventually feel like crumb

They are on their own path, and you should stick to yours

The ailments they can cause you, there are no common cures

Sweet

And then you’ve got your sweet ones, these girls they’re really great

They know just how to treat ya, and they’ll shoot ya really straight

When you’re in a hard time, they’re the ones you want around

They’ll often treat you like a king, like you do wear a crown

You see there’s just this one thing, they’re often just too nice

Sometimes you don’t want sugar, sometimes you want a little spice

If you decide to give a jab, you’ll surely want one back

But if you expect to get one here, you surely will fall flat

That Girl

So see with girls, you can’t win, too much of this, or less of that

You’re better to stick with the boys, trust me that’s a fact

You’ll avoid certain sorrow, all the aches and pains of love

All the heartbreak that will follow, trust me courtship’s rough

There’s one thing left to tell you, so you too may be free

You can’t ascribe to anything I’ve said, look where it’s gotten me

You see a girls not one thing, or even two or six

She’s everything above and more, surely she’s a mix

She’s flirty, and she’s strong too, she’s hot and sweet and shy

What matters is that you find the girl, who makes you a better guy

I’ll tell you who that girl is, she’s one who knows who she is

She’ll be strong and independent, because she knows she’s His

And if you want to win her, you must know this too

You must know who she is, and you also must know you

It’s through the search you’ll find yourself, but I’ll tell you boy its hard

For searching her out with your heart, is sure to leave some scars

Boy, this is the search of your life, nothing’s more important see

Do everything you can to be the man, that she would have you be

Your gonna get your heart broke, and for that I do feel bad

But for the change that comes from such, for that I do feel glad
